Super Flight Planner released

by mark.avey on November 16, 2007

I’ve been after a good flight planner for Flight Simulator X since it was released. Central Park Informatica may have the answer with their newly released Super Flight Planner, a “freeware Flight Planner for Microsoft Flight Simulator. It supports Flight Simulator from FS2000 through FSX.”. I’ve just signed up (for free) on their site and will be downloading and checking it out shortly.

Super Flight Planner

It features a very advanced moving map with powerful zooming, projecting and panning capabilities. It may read Flight Simulator installed scenery base and produce its own database files from there. It also may be able to export and import flight plans and database from a lot of external third party applications and add-ons (Flight Simulator GPS, Radar Contact, LevelD 767, just to name a few).

Besides, full DP and Star procedures are supported; Super Flight Planner comes with a database of more than 20000 DP-STAR. Another powerful capability of Super Flight Planner is map layering: you may decide which maps are to be displayed first and which latter. Last but not least, you may follow your FS aircraft flying on Moving Map using FSUIPC. Note that SFP has a full FSUIPC accreditation: that means you don not need a registered version of FS6UIPC. You need doing anything but having FSUIPC installed. The accreditation routines will be handled by SFP in a totally automatic way.
